Does God have a world wide view, and if he does, what might that look like? As life has become global, the Christian family doesn’t seem to ask this question, often concerning itself with what goes on within its walls, and leaving the wider world to fend for itself. Other Faiths have a clear world view, and both a global strategy and the means to put such a strategy into place.
Jesus had a global view, He said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Somehow, between the Lord’s words and the twenty first century, we have got too narrow in our focus. This has serious consequences for us. God’s people have concentrated on their own Churches, calls for National response have fallen on deaf ears, and. those who want to alert us to wider flows within the heart of God, for Nations, Continents and the world have been pushed to the margins.
God has never stopped speaking about the whole of his created order. It’s rather that we have stopped listening, have forgotten how to listen, or, among the many voices that crowd our ears, we have forgotten what his voice sounds like.
